Toronto’s First Indonesian Pour-Over Café! Coffee Lovers, Rejoice! 🎉
This might be Toronto’s first specialty café focusing on Indonesian coffee! Indonesian coffee has a long and rich history, and it’s most famous for Kopi Luwak (also known as Civet Coffee), which originates from Indonesia.❤️ Recently, my barista friend (with over 10 years of experience in the industry) highly recommended this place. The interior design—from the chairs and tables to the wall art—is distinct from other cafés, filled with traditional Indonesian artistry. The café offers both espresso drinks and pour-over coffee. For espresso, you can choose from one in-house roasted Indonesian bean and two beans from Ethica. The must-try here is undoubtedly the pour-over.🎶 I tried the first Indonesian bean on the menu. As legend says, Indonesian beans have low acidity. Even as a pour-over, the flavor is rich with herbal and tobacco notes. I’m not a fan of high-acidity beans, so this one was perfect for me.😘😘 Luwak Coffee 🥹 $18 for a cup of Kopi Luwak! I’m definitely trying it next time! (Quick note: I’ve never tried Kopi Luwak before, so I’m really curious. However, I’m aware that non-wild sourced Kopi Luwak may involve harm to civets. If this is a concern for you, consider asking if they use Wild Civet Coffee before ordering.) 📍Highly Likely 1189 Queen St W, Toronto #TorontoFood #TheWorldEndsWithGoodCoffee #MyCoffeeDiary #SpecialtyCoffee
