Toronto | Iron Pot Stewed Bunny (Spanish Edition)
🥘 PAELLA VALENCIANA A traditional Spanish rice dish, with the option to choose chicken/rabbit or a combination of both. We opted for the combination, and I found the rabbit to be more delicious with a firmer texture, while the chicken was a bit drier. The flavor was spot on, not too salty or bland, just to my taste. The rice was a bit on the hard side, but the staff explained that it’s made with traditional Spanish short-round rice, which results in a dry and non-sticky texture. They offered to cook it further if we preferred. 🫕 CAZUELA DE MARISCOS A traditional seafood clay pot stew. This wasn’t on the menu but was the special of the day. It seemed to have tomato in it, sweet and sour, quite tasty. 🦐 GAMBAS AL AJILLO Garlic shrimp in oil, a traditional Spanish tapa. The addition of wine made it smell particularly fragrant, and it was quite refreshing without being greasy. The garlic flavor wasn’t too strong. The shrimp were large with a tight and bouncy texture. 🍰 The desserts are seasonal, with no menu. Just ask the staff. We were too full to order dessert. There weren’t many people on the weekend, so walk-ins had no problem getting a table. In the summer, you can sit inside or on the patio. The service was great, the staff were very enthusiastic, and the overall experience was pleasant. The only downside is that it’s a bit far away. #TorontoLife #TorontoFoodExploration #TorontoEatingAndDrinking #Toronto #TorontoWeekendExploration #TorontoFood #MyTreasureTroveOfFood #RestaurantRecommendations
