Toronto | Exceptional Value Tasting Menu🌟
🍽️ Affordable yet comprehensive, this tasting menu is full of delightful surprises. While the dishes may not be exceptionally standout, several of them are truly delicious! 🎯 My criterion for success is that if at least 2/3 of the menu items are satisfactory, it's a win! This place is perfect for first-timers to tasting menus or for casual date nights, focusing on value for money with canapés, four courses, and dessert, totaling 11 different delights. 💸 No tips required, just $140, which is quite touching for Toronto. The only place I find comparable is George (the restaurant offering an omakase tasting menu). So, as long as the food quality is on point, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Plus, they change the menu every two weeks, showing a commendable level of quality control. 🍄 Dish reviews: Four types of canapés served, all quite tasty. Mushroom soup: rich and creamy, slightly salty. Guinea fowl: prepared like a terrine, leaner than chicken but full of flavor. Mackerel: the fish is fatty and fragrant in the autumn and winter season. Suckling pig: Initially not a fan of pork, but their crispy skin with ham accompaniment is intriguing. It could be even better with a crispier skin and less ham. 🥂 Lastly, I personally suggest skipping their wine pairing service; the $79 wine is just average, better to bring your own bottle. 🤔 It turns out there's a real anti-tipping culture here. #TorontoExplore #TorontoEats #TorontoFunAndFood #TastingMenu
