Toronto Hiking Live | Summer at Rattlesnake Point

🌟Saying goodbye to winter, I couldn’t wait to dive into the woods. On the last day of the long weekend, I took advantage of the nice weather to hike Rattlesnake Point + Crawford Lake. Our original plan for a 10.6km hike turned into over 13km, and with stops for photos, it took us a total of four hours. 🌟There wasn’t much traffic on the way, and it’s just an hour’s drive from downtown. The experience was excellent with very few people. ❗️Google Maps had a bit of a navigation issue, but we eventually found the entrance by taking Appleby Road and then a small side road. 🌟The lake is actually just a small pond, but it generously offered us just the right amount of reward. In the shallow waters, the green aquatic plants shimmered with the scales of some carp, while a nearby dead branch became a playground for frogs. 🌟The ups and downs of the hike added up to over 200+m of elevation gain, living up to its reputation as the only little hill in the GTA… 🌟A map of the route and a watch record are provided at the end for reference. Remember to buy tickets online in advance. And when hiking in summer, bring plenty of water and insect repellent! #Toronto #Hiking #Weekend #OutdoorHiking
