Toronto|✨Koh Lipe Thai Kitchen
I’ve always thought that it’s hard to achieve the authentic taste here due to factors like ingredients, climate, and local preferences. However, this place makes a commendable effort towards authenticity. Though the dishes still aren't as spicy as you'd find locally, they’re pretty close! Even though it was just two of us, and our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, we ended up ordering a lot. We had enough leftovers to take home: Goong Moun – Fried tofu skin rolls. Delicious and crispy, with a bit of spice and a unique blend of spices in the filling. Peek Gai Tom Yum – Tom Yum flavored fried chicken wings. The meat was very tender with a subtle sour taste. Prik Pao Talay – Spicy stir-fried seafood. A huge plate of seafood with plenty of mussels, squid, clams, and shrimp. The sauce is incredibly fragrant with a rich coconut flavor, perfect for pairing with rice! Khao Neow Tu Rian – Durian sticky rice. Even though we were quite full, we had to save room for dessert. The durian was super fresh, paired with crispy rice puffs and creamy coconut milk. The sticky rice was chewy and added a nice touch to the dish. Personally, I think this was the highlight of the meal! #EatingOut #RestaurantReview #TorontoEats #TorontoLife #ExploreToronto #FoodDiary #RestaurantHopping #MyFoodJournal #100RestaurantChallenge
