Toronto Northern Steakhouse | David Duncanš½ļøā²ļø
All in all, itās a place where taste and dishes outweigh the service. The exterior is an old house, and the interior decoration is mostly brown + gold. Paired with crystal chandeliers, it gives off a classic old money vibešµ. Itās a great spot for photos, guaranteed to produce stunning shotsāØš·. The appetizer bread is an olive oil and garlic-infused breadš„. It becomes more flavorful with each chew, but itās nothing special. The thick-cut bacon Caesar saladš„ is something else. The bacon is so fatty and delicious, crispy baconš„ paired with crisp romaine lettuceš„¬ and Parmesan cheese. It offers a burst of juice and a refreshing double texture, achieving a balance of richness without being monotonous. The lobster spaghettiš is rich in taste. The lobster meat itself is bouncy and Q, paired with a rich tomato sauce. The flavors are distinct, and every bite is filled with the chewiness of the pasta and the sweetness of the lobsterš¦. For me, lamb chopsš should not have a gamey taste. If it can be achieved to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, retaining the tenderness of the meat, then itās a big plus. David Duncanās grilled lamb chops hit both marks and even exceeded expectations. The simple spice seasoning is more than enoughš§, so naturally, it gets wiped clean. Now, about the steakš„©. As a steakhouse, I wonāt tolerate anything less than delicious. The surface of the steak is slightly crispy, but the inside retains its juiciness and tenderness. The meatās texture and aroma blend together. Cutting into it and taking a biteš½ļø, you can feel the rich meat juices. A big thumbs upš. Average cost: š°100. The dishes are all winners. But the service is pretty average, could be among the bottom in Toronto⦠If you donāt want to head downtown, then coming up north to this place is no problem. #AmbientRestaurant #TorontoLife #TorontoFoodExploration #TorontoFood #TorontoWesternFood #TorontoSteak #TorontoNorthernFood #TorontoEatingAndPlaying
