Townsville → Magnetic Island 🏝️
There are two ferry companies to get to Magnetic Island. You can book tickets online in advance or buy them on-site. The two companies are located right across from each other, with ferries departing every hour. I’ve included the price list for one of them. Once you arrive, there’s a bus right when you get off—only $4.80 for an all-day pass! 🚌 You can take a photo of the timetable or ask the driver for a copy. Just be at the stop at the times listed. A great hiking route is The Forts Walk 🥾, where you can spot wild koalas in the trees! 🐨 According to the driver, you're more likely to see them in the early morning or evening… but of course, a bit of luck is always involved 😉. The bus ends at Horseshoe Bay 🏖️, where there are plenty of accommodations, restaurants, water activities like jet skiing and boating, and even a simple playground for kids. Overall, I found the island to be quite small and super perfect for relaxing and unwinding. It’s ideal for going with the flow—whether you feel like strolling by the sea or just doing nothing at all 💙. #FamilyTravel #TravelTips #TravelAustralia #Townsville #UtopiaForHumansAndAnimals 🐾✨
