In my opinion, this is definitely the best beach on the island. It doesn't take very long to get there and the scenic drive along the way is magnificent. They are a number of great shops along the seafront and the view from the beach over the bay and the ocean is beautiful. Read moreThis place needs a serious foreshore clean up. Cigarette butts everywhere. It's fairly gross. Loud music on the beach at night all night from the camp ground. The sunset boat isn't much bigger than a sardine can. Nothing like the photos advertised. You need to be able to walk in the water to board. Doesn't look or feel safe at all! The hotel is a nightmare. Kitchen run by monkeys as is the restaurant manager. Noodles is fabulous. $17 for the biggest BLAT or Spicy chicken you have ever seen....
Read moreBig, big beach made probably more for walking than swimming. That said, this beach has the best tourist facilities of all the "Maggie island" beaches. Hire of various watercraft are available and a stinger net for safety at the life saver patrolled part of the beach.
