🍜 Townsville Food Guide 🇦🇺

Here’s a roundup of my food experiences in Townsville – a mix of hits and misses in this remote Aussie town 🏝️😅 🍴 Ming's House Malaysian-Chinese cuisine in Garbutt. Some staff speak Chinese. Differs from Dynasty Chinese Seafood – more veg-focused 🥬 (Dynasty does seafood + veg). Dim sum available Sunday mornings (just okay). 💑 Miss Songs Asian Kitchen Modern Chinese inside the casino. Nice for a first date – but overpriced, small portions. Atmosphere is good, but quality is declining 📉. 🍕 Frank's Pizza Napoli & Vesuviana Restaurant Pizza spot near Mr Young. Garlic bread is delicious 🧄🍞! Tiramisu has way too much alcohol 🥴. Cash only 💵. 🍻 Tiny Mountain Brewery Located in the pub strip. 4 x 200ml beers for $20 🍺. Loved the watermelon margarita slushie 🍉❄️ – great for watching sports on the big screen! 🥡 Mr Young Chinese Takeaway My go-to when I don’t feel like cooking 🥢! Real Chinese food – fried noodles from $10+, dishes $20-30. Their roasted duck is the best in town 🦆 – Nanjing-style, served with broth. Eat in (simple setting) or takeaway. Note: Dining in costs more. A bit oily but tasty! 🍛 Phranakorn Thai Cafe and Restaurant Opposite BCC – delicious Thai! Lunch specials when dining in. I often order delivery, but the meat portions are shrinking 😢. 🍲 Vietnamese Colour Restaurant Authentic Vietnamese – located near Kmart at Stockland. Light broths and soups – perfect when you want something refreshing 🍜💚. 😬 Overall though… Townsville is still a bit of a food desert 🐪🍽️. Not many standout options! #LifeInAustralia #AustralianFood #TownsvilleEats #FoodReview #AussieLife
