Tracing "Red Dead Redemption" at Oak Valley Plantation ๐๏ธ
The main reason I came to New Orleans was because of this place! ๐๏ธ Anyone who has played this game has probably "caused some chaos" right here โ itโs that iconic highlight moment from Chapter 3. ๐ฅ I booked a day tour through Grey Line ๐ โ way more cost-effective than going on my own. It was $86 per person, and the driver provided fun commentary all along the way. He even pointed out a restaurant so good he joked, โItโs so delicious youโd wanna slap your own mama!โ ๐๐ Just a heads-up โ donโt get off at the wrong stop: the first stop is Whitney Plantation, and the second is Oak Valley. I originally only knew that Green Book ๐ฌ was filmed here, but I had no idea Django Unchained was shot here too! Green Book โ that Oscar-winning film โ follows two guys driving 3,500 km from New York all the way to New Orleans. Honestly, the U.S. is just ridiculously huge! ๐บ๏ธ And speaking of distances โ remember that episode in Better Call Saul where Saul takes a bus from New Mexico to a city in Louisiana? It took him two days and two nights! I looked it up โ thatโs about 1,400 km. From New Mexico to Louisianaโฆ it looks so close on the map, but wow, itโs far! ๐ต #NewOrleans #RedDeadRedemption #OakValleyPlantation #USATravel
