Traditional Irish Food Review | The Old Mill Restaurant
📍 Location: 14 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, D02 V970 💰 Price: ~€30 per person (we spent €65 for two but couldn't finish) Verdict: Not highly recommended—try once for novelty. 😐 First Impressions: Walked in at lunchtime—busy but got seated quickly. Cozy old-world charm with vintage decor. 🏛️ Portions are HUGE—come hungry! Dishes Tried: ✅ The Famous Irish Lamb Shank (€26) Tender meat with mashed potatoes & brown gravy. Too salty, but decent overall. ❌ Beef & Guinness Stew (€19) Mostly carrots with few beef chunks 🥕😒 Extremely salty—hard to finish. Comes with 2 sad slices of bread & butter. 🍞💔 ✅ Cottage Pie (€19) Best of the three! Creamy mashed potato topping over minced meat & veggies. Less salty, actually enjoyable. PS: All three dishes tasted like they used the same salty gravy... 🧂🤨 Final Thoughts: 👎 Overpriced for the quality. 👍 Good for a one-time Irish food experience. ⚠️ Bring water—everything’s salty! 💦 #DublinEats #IrishFood #TempleBar #DublinLife #FoodReview #IrelandTravel #OverratedEats #IrishCuisine #DublinFoodie #SaltWarning
