A 5-day, 4-night trip to New Mexico and Texas in late October! Day 1 ✈️ New York → El Paso Arrived at El Paso Airport in the afternoon, then headed straight to the art town of Marfa by car. The drive takes about 3 hours. 🚗 Note: You’ll pass a border checkpoint along the way—make sure to bring your passport, EAD card, or other valid documents! About 30 minutes before reaching town, you’ll pass by Prada Marfa 👜🏜 – an iconic art installation in the middle of nowhere. At night, the stars are absolutely breathtaking—you can even see the Milky Way with the naked eye! ✨🌌 🏨 Stayed at: Hotel Saint George A stylish boutique hotel with spacious and modern rooms. Toiletries are by Aesop – nice touch! However, we did find stains on two of the bath towels at check-in 😬… Day 2 🥙 Breakfast: Marfa Burrito Highly recommend the asado (pork burrito) – so tasty! Heads up: cash only 💵! Chinati Foundation First stop after lunch – home to Donald Judd’s iconic art installations. Ticket: $10 per person. We only toured the outdoor exhibits. ⚠️ Reminder: Wear sunscreen and stay hydrated!!! (Speaking from sunburn experience 😅) Indoor exhibitions close at 11 AM – plan ahead if you want to see those. Ballroom Marfa Second stop – requires online reservation in advance. Free entry. The gallery is pretty small. After the visit, we wandered around the area. ☕ Do Your Thing Coffee is nearby – tried the horchata latte (a local specialty). Pretty good – worth a try! Also tried Frama ice cream… super super sweet 🍦😆 Then we just drove around town, explored some local shops near the hotel, and later said goodbye to this little artsy desert gem. #TravelTexas #Marfa #ArtTown #PradaMarfa #DesertVibes #RoadTrip #NewMexicoTexasTrip #TravelDiary #StarGazing #BoutiqueHotel
