Travel | Arcachon Dunes, Crowded but Worth a Visit

🧩Here's a guide for friends who are not driving and want to take public transportation. 😍We started from Bordeaux, bought tickets at the train station to Arcachon (about 38 euros round trip for two people). The train ride to Bordeaux takes about 45 minutes without delays. 🧩If you want to go directly to the dunes, you can wait for the 101 express line next to the green public toilet near the right side of the train station exit. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the dunes. A round trip ticket costs 2 euros per person. It's best to pay with cash, as the driver mentioned that it's troublesome to buy and swipe cards elsewhere. If you have plenty of time and don't mind a longer journey, you can take bus 3 along the coastline. The price is the same, but it takes about forty minutes to reach the dides. ⚠️Please make sure to take photos of the bus schedule online or on-site in advance to manage your time well, otherwise, you might have to wait a long time for the return trip. There are signs throughout the journey indicating where to get off and roughly where to get on. 👍The dunes are definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. Bring plenty of water, go up the dunes, and actually, I feel like you could lie there for half a day. However, we only stayed for about two hours. The sand gets all over your body, so I recommend wearing pants instead of a skirt, as the wind keeps blowing it away. 😍Arcachon town is also nice to explore. You can surf and sunbathe on the beach, and there are many restaurants nearby, as well as a large market. #Arcachon #Pica Dunes #Bordeaux #France #My Travel Diary #Recommended Check-in Guide
