Travel Diary: Córdoba, Argentina
Nestled in central Argentina, Córdoba (the country’s second-largest city!) surprised us with its eclectic charm. Here’s how we spent 3 unforgettable days: 1️⃣ Villa Carlos Paz: Lakeside Bliss 🏞️ Just 40km from Córdoba, this mountain-ringed resort town stole our hearts. 🚡 Rode the cable car for panoramic views, strolled along the lake, and soaked in the slow pace. ⛪ Back in the city, we wandered around Plaza San Martín, feeding pigeons and admiring the cathedral’s grandeur. #SereneVibes ☁️ 2️⃣ La Cumbrecita: A Slice of Europe in the Andes 🏡 "Little Summit" is a fairytale German-Swiss village perched in the hills (2.5-hour trip from Córdoba). 🌉 Cobblestone paths, wooden bridges, and alpine cottages—like stepping into Argentina’s version of the Black Forest! 💦 Stopped at a massive dam en route and devoured artisanal chocolates and bratwurst. #WanderlustMagic 🌲 3️⃣ Horseback Riding in El Manzano: Gaucho Dreams 🐴 50km from Córdoba, we traded city chaos for wilderness adventures. ☕ Started with mate and pastries at a rustic estancia, then mounted our horses for: Morning ride (1 hour): Traversed valleys, ducking under branches like amateur cowboys. Afternoon ride (1.5 hours): Deeper into the hills, chasing golden light through the trees. 🔥 Feasted on Argentine asado (BBQ) between rides—pro tip: Wear long sleeves/pants unless you want "nature tattoos"! #RideFree 🌄 Why Córdoba? It’s where Andean landscapes, European charm, and gaucho spirit collide. Less touristy than Buenos Aires, but just as vibrant! #LoveWhatYouDo ❤️ #ArgentinaTravel 🇦🇷 #StudyAbroadLife 📚 #Globetrotter 🌍 #WandererAtHeart 🗺️ #CórdobaArgentina 🏔️
