Travel Guide | San Antonio: Food & Attractions You Can’t Miss 🏰🌮
Did you know? San Antonio, Texas, is the 7th largest city in the U.S. 🌆 Its history dates back 3000 years to Indigenous settlements. In 1691, Spanish explorers arrived and named it San Antonio. I spent a week here in April for a conference and discovered so many gems—here’s my curated list! 🍽️ Must-Try Restaurants: 🇲🇽 Mi Tierra Cafe y Panaderia A iconic Mexican restaurant located in the lively Historic Market Square. The area itself is a vibrant pedestrian street filled with performances 🎭 and souvenir shops. The restaurant is bursting with color and tradition—even the servers wear festive red and green dresses! Their desserts are worth the wait. 📍 218 Produce Row, San Antonio, TX 78207 🥂🥩 Boudros Perfect for dinner with a river view! Their menu features classic American steaks, but the real highlights are the service and scenery. Don’t miss their fresh table-side guacamole with tortillas. 📍 On The Riverwalk Level, 421 E Commerce St, San Antonio, TX 78205 🍱 Best Quality Daughter Creative Asian fusion that’s a hit with American diners. Offers lovely outdoor seating! 📍 602 Avenue A, San Antonio, TX 78215 🏛️ Top Attractions: 🏰 The Alamo A key site in the Texas Revolution—most famously the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. This historic fortress is now a must-visit landmark. 🚤 River Walk Cruise A boat tour you can’t skip! Look for “Go Rio” docks—tickets are $14.50 on-site. The 35-minute tour includes fun historical stories about the buildings along the river. 🌊 🌳 Japanese Tea Garden A peaceful Japanese-style garden a short drive from downtown. You’ll find large koi fish 🐟, and it’s a popular spot for graduation and wedding photos. There’s also a cute tea shop. Nice for photos, but maybe not mind-blowing if you’ve seen many classic Chinese gardens 😉 📍 3853 N St Mary's St, San Antonio, TX 78212 🏀 Spurs NBA Game If you’re here during the season, catch a Spurs game at the AT&T Center! 🏆 📍 1 AT&T Center Parkway, San Antonio, TX 78219 #Texas #TravelUSA #SanAntonio #FoodieGuide #TexasTravel #HoustonDayTrip #NBA
