1️⃣ How to get to Lençóis Maranhenses? The Thousand-Lake Desert is located in Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses. 2️⃣ How to get to Barreirinhas? ✨Most travelers depart from the major city São Luís. As an independent traveler, I took a bus. You can check bus schedules on the website shown in Figure 2 (mainly two companies: C with departures at 6:00, 8:45, 14:00, and 19:30 on weekdays; 🩷G with departures at 7:30 and 21:00 — weekend schedules vary, so check in advance). The journey takes about 4.5 hours, and tickets cost 60 BRL. 3️⃣ Important Tips ❗It’s extremely sunny! Always apply sunscreen.
