When visiting Sawara, you can't miss learning about the remarkable figure who accurately mapped Japan, Inō Tadataka. 🍃 At the age of 18, he married into the Inō family in Sawara and, 🌺🌿 with his exceptional business acumen, expanded the family's sake brewing, soy sauce production, shipping, and money-lending ventures. 💼🍶 🌺🌿 At 50, he passed the family leadership to his eldest son and traveled to Edo to study astronomy and surveying. 🍃 Over the next 17 years, he led a team to traverse the entire country, walking a total of 35,000 kilometers to create the "Complete Map of the Coastal Regions of Japan." 🌺🌿 After his passing, the map was completed by Takahashi Keikyo. 🗺️👣 #Japan 🇯🇵
