Traveling with Dogs 🐶|Boise, Idaho

If you’re traveling with your furry friend to Boise, don’t miss Together Treasure Valley Dog Island 🏞️🐕! This huge off-leash dog park right in the city center spans 5.4 acres (about 22,000 sq meters). It has wide open grassy areas, shady trees, small hills, and even a pond — my dog had the time of his life and didn’t want to leave! 😂🎾 Nearby, the Ann Morrison Park Duck Ponds 🦆 are full of cute ducks — we even spotted a few fluffy duckling families! The surrounding parks and lawns are also perfect for walks and picnics 🧺✨. Boise is also packed with great food and fun spots. Here are a few we tried: 🍽 Fork A farm-to-table restaurant that focuses on fresh, local ingredients. We ordered: Asparagus fries (surprisingly crispy and delicious!) The B.C.S. salad 🥗 Idaho rainbow trout 🐟 Prime rib 🥩 The portions were generous, and their mashed potatoes were incredibly smooth and creamy — highly recommend! 🍕 The Wylder A modern pizza-centric spot. We tried: Mushroom toast 🍄🍞: rich, creamy, and very filling Honey Badger pizza 🍯🦡: their most popular pie — uniquely delicious! 🔥 Barbacoa Grill A concept restaurant known for its “flame steak” and dramatic presentation. We ordered: Tuna tartare Idaho trout 🐟 Rib eye 🥩 The food was good but didn’t fully wow us. The server really tried to upsell us on the fire show — even offering to “perform” with our dishes — but we politely declined 😅. The outdoor seating with lake views was lovely though (when it wasn’t windy!). 🍨 The STIL (The Sweetest Thing In Life) An ice cream shop with tons of flavors, including boozy options 🍦🍯. We tried four — the honey bourbon was our favorite! Boise is a dog-friendly, food-loving, laid-back treasure — we’ll be back! 💖 #Boise #Idaho #DogFriendlyTravel #TravelWithPets #FoodieAdventures
