Travelogue | The Most Elegant and Refined Home Museum in East London
Thank you all for your support over the past two weeks! ✨ Today, I’m excited to share a local London aesthetic experience that’s a real gem in my collection: the Museum of the Home 🏠 The Museum of the Home is just a 5-minute walk from Hoxton Overground Station in the East End, showcasing the evolution of British home styles over the past four centuries. The museum is spread across two floors: the ground floor features a more traditional exhibition style with objects and graphic explanations.💖 The highlight is on the first floor, in the ‘the rooms’ section. This area replicates five classic historical British home interiors, complete with a dining room, drawing room, and full of meticulous historical details – a true labor of love.❤️ The Museum of the Home underwent a closure for renovations in 2018 and reopened in 2021, maintaining free admission. You can feel the freshness and cleanliness of the interior. It’s perfect for a sunny weekend in the East End to experience the museum’s soothing atmosphere. ✨☕️ If you’re struggling with decor ideas for a new home or art studio, you’re sure to find some inspiration here. And for those studying art history or film and television art design, this is an excellent reference point! 👩🏻🎨📽️ The museum is very family-friendly, with designs suitable for children throughout. It’s great for couple dates, spring outings, or family weekend strolls. The homes here range from glamorous and retro to fresh and elegant, but perhaps the most beloved is the small haven that shelters us from the wind and rain – home.💕 Closed on Mondays, open from Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-17:00 #MarkMyLife #ArtistHome #HomeAestheticsShare #BritishAntiqueFurniture #VintageAestheticSpace #LondonCheckIn #ClassicalAndModern #AntiqueCollection #LifeAesthetics #EastLondon
