Trip to San Miguel de Allende
🏠 Casa Maricela B&B 15:00 – Boarded a Primera Plus bus in Guanajuato; arrived SM bus terminal 16:30. Uber to B&B, drop bags, out again by 17:30 for the sunset loop: Jesús → Terraplén → Aldama → Cuadrante → Hospicio → Montes de Oca → Mirador Parroquia San Miguel Arcángel → El Mirador Steep cobblestones the whole way up – every breath worth it. 🌅 GOLDEN HOUR Turn around every few steps – entire city draped in tangerine gauze. Sky bleeds into watercolor washes: coral → fuchsia → indigo. Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel – pink spires silhouetted against sunset = story-book castle. Colonial façades glow amber; narrow alleys echo with distant guitar & church bells. 🌄 EL MIRADOR FINALE Panorama: city bathed in liquid gold, mountains fading into dusk. Lights flick on – Twilight Zone switch from dream to diamond night. Left at 20:30 only because stomach growled louder than the view. 🍽️ LOS MILAGROS DINNER Downhill stroll – gentler, quieter than Guanajuato’s carnival. Volcano Bowl – assorted grill meats + pickled nopal cactus = tangy, smoky, unforgettable. San Miguel, you had me at sunset. #US #CA
