Trying Brunch in the Rochester Area โ๏ธ๐ฝ๏ธ I was in the area for errands and decided to try a highly-rated brunch spot nearby. The place is called Simply Crepes Kitchen and Bar Webster (heard from a group chat that the Pittsford location is even better with nicer views ๐๏ธ). No reservation, just walked in โ waited quite a while โณ. I ordered the Nutella banana crepe ๐๐ซ, my husband got an Omelette ๐ณ, and the two kids picked the overly sweet peanut butter marshmallow crepe from the kids' menu ๐ฅ๐ก, plus a breakfast plate ๐ง. The adult meals were okay (I canโt do savory crepes โ gotta have sweet! ๐คฃ), and the kids finished most of theirs๏ฝ The hot chocolate for the little ones was a hit โ๏ธโค๏ธ. I ordered a boozy coffee flight, thinking itโd be just a hint of alcohol (like other cafesโ spiked coffee or eggnog ๐น). They didnโt even ask for my ID โ guess I look old enough โ so I let my guard down ๐ . Turns out it was a serious boozy drink! I took one sip, and when my husband wanted to try, I quickly covered the cup ๐ โโ๏ธ๐ซ and got him a regular hot coffee instead. After all, one of us had to stay sober enough to drive back ๐๐จ. Those four little cups of coffee knocked me out ๐ต๐ค โ slept the whole ride home and felt fuzzy till eveningโฆ Back in my student days, I could drink while pulling all-nighters writing papers and complaining about professors ๐๐บ. Guess age really does slow you down ๐ซ . Why is Syracuse not giving us any sun? ๐ง๏ธโ๏ธ Feels like we only saw a bit of sunlight on Thursday โ the rest has been clouds/rain. Oh, and because of burst pipes ๐ฆ, car washes in town are all closed ๐๐งผ.
