Tsuru Ton tan (Average $30-50)(1)
๐ธ๐After living in New York for so long, as someone with a serious penchant for trying new things, this is the only restaurant I've been to three times and still want to go back. Even though I tend to prefer Western cuisine, this place always manages to surprise me. ๐The first time, I ordered the No2 Wagyu Eggplant Tantan and the Cucumber Mint drink (I'm a huge mint fan). The noodles are mildly spicy, but the meat and eggplant complement each other perfectly, balancing out any potential drawbacks. ๐ธ๐ It's rich and flavorful without being greasy or bland. ๐ ๐The second time, I had the Wagyu sushi, salmon sushi, cold udon, and lychee sake. I've never had a bad cocktail here (I don't like sake, so I haven't tried it). The Wagyu sushi was amazing, but there wasn't enough! ๐ญThe salmon sushi had avocado and some other ingredient I can't remember, with a red garnish on top that really enhanced the flavor. The taste layers were elevated, with a slight spiciness at first, followed by the rich flavors of the salmon and avocado. Dipping it in soy sauce made it even more flavorful. ๐ธ๐ #NewYork ๐
