Tucson: Let's Go Pumpkin Picking!

1. Hey, everyone from the University of Arizona! The long period of study has been going on without a break. October 31st is Halloween, but nowadays, Halloween seems to be getting weirder and less safe. πŸ˜ŠπŸŽƒπŸ‘» It's not as enjoyable as it used to be, and we might need to find some other fun activities instead. πŸ˜ŽπŸ•ΈοΈπŸŒ™ 2. Today, I'd like to recommend a wonderful place called Apple Annie’s Orchard. Its address is 2081 W Hardy Rd, Willcox, AZ 85643. It's a quite representative family farm in the southern part of Arizona. πŸ˜ƒπŸŒ³πŸ‘ Since 1986, it started with mainly growing apples, which is where it got its name. Later on, it gradually expanded to include various agricultural products like peaches, pumpkins, and corn. It has now become a well-known "agritourism" attraction in the local area. It's not just about buying fruits anymore; it offers a whole family experience, such as fruit picking, corn mazes, pumpkin festivals, and farm markets. 😊🍎🎈 3. Let's focus on pumpkins today. Pumpkins are usually sown in summer and only ripen in autumn (from September to October). If you miss the chance here, you'll have to buy them from the supermarket. 😎🌽πŸ₯§ It's open from September to October 31st, and the opening hours are from 9 am to 5 pm. So make sure to plan your visit within this time frame. πŸ˜ƒπŸ•™πŸ—“οΈ 4. I've attached some pictures so you can see for yourself what can be picked during these months. The ones with a cross mark are available for picking. πŸ˜ŠπŸ“·πŸ… There are quite a variety of things you can choose from, depending on your preference. πŸ˜ŽπŸ–ΌοΈπŸ₯’ 5. Fruits (September - October): Fuji, Gala, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Pink Lady, Red Delicious, Rome Beauty. Pears: Bartlett Pears, Asian Pears. Peaches: There might still be a few late-season varieties in September. πŸ˜ƒπŸπŸ‘ These fruits offer a delicious opportunity for you to enjoy the taste of fresh produce straight from the farm. πŸ˜ŠπŸ§ΊπŸ‡ 6. Vegetables & Crops (September – October): Pumpkins (Pumpkins), Gourds, Winter Squash, Summer Squash, Sweet Corn (still available in September, gradually ending in October), Tomatoes, Eggplant, Chili Peppers, Jalapenos, Bell Peppers, Green Beans, Broccoli, Sunflowers. 😎🌻πŸ₯” There's such a rich selection that you can explore different flavors and textures. πŸ˜ƒπŸ₯•πŸŒΆοΈ 7. I've also provided you with the price list as shown in the picture. I won't comment or give warnings. I'm just here to give you the information, and you can make your own choices. After all, it's your life. Whether it turns out good or bad, it'll be part of your story. There aren't many things in life that we can choose freely, so cherish these opportunities. Don't always avoid risks and think you've gained something. Sometimes, taking risks can lead to great experiences. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’ΈπŸ“„ Apples, pears, and vegetables are usually priced by the pound (lb) due to the pick-your-own format. For example, prices might range from $3.99 – $6.99 / lb. And activities like the corn maze cost $6 – $10, and the hayride is an extra $4. πŸ˜ŽπŸ’°πŸšœ #StudyAbroad #UniversityofArizona #TucsonTravel
