Tucson|Summer in AZ is Here 🥵
The temps in Tucson have been rising fast ☝️—reaching nearly 40°C (104°F) lately. Just a short walk outside leaves you sweating, and the UV rays are brutal 🕶️. In weather like this, the only comfortable outdoor escape I can think of? The mountains! Sure enough, as soon as we drove up Mount Lemmon ⛰️, the temp dropped by at least 10 degrees (or more!). A cool breeze 🌬️ blew through, and the higher we went, the chillier it got—so refreshing❗️❗️❗️ We set up a picnic 🧺, grilled some BBQ 🍖, and relaxed under the trees 💤 while listening to birds chirping 🐦 and insects humming. Pure bliss! A little further up the mountain by car 🚗, we reached Rose Canyon Lake, a man-made reservoir held by a dam. Lots of people were fishing 🎣—and the lake is full of fish 🐟, so many you can see them swimming! Some folks just sat there all afternoon, soaking in the peace. You can also hike the small trails around the lake—super easy and scenic. Far from the city 🌆 and cell service 📶, it’s the perfect place to unplug and breathe in the mountain air 😎. Unlike Tucson’s scorching heat, the cool temps up here make everything feel serene. Escaping to Mount Lemmon is a must every summer—it’s hands-down Tucson’s best summer retreat! #HelloApril #Hiking #Nature #EnjoyTheOutdoors #SpontaneousTrip #AdventureTime #AZ #Arizona #Tucson 🏞️🌲🔥
