Tucson Food Discovery — Sachiko Sushi 🍣
Tucked away in a plaza with Trader Joe’s in South Tucson, this place may look low-key… but it’s a true hidden gem! 💎 The restaurant is surprisingly spacious 🏮, with a cozy vibe and a menu so extensive you might get lost in it—perfect for group dinners or a quiet solo sushi night. The fish here is incredibly fresh 🐟🤩 We especially loved the uni (sea urchin)—sweet and oceanic, though a bit pricey 💸 Also tried the fried oysters 🦪—crispy outside, tender inside, packed with flavor and zero fishy taste! Highly recommend if you like fried seafood. From the specials displayed near the entrance: 🔥 Saba Ichiyaboshi (grilled mackerel) Crispy-skinned and flavorful—a bit salty and super fragrant! Served with veggies, rice, and dipping sauce. Perfect with rice 🍚 🐟 Spicy Tuna on Inari (new item!) So cute looking! The spicy tuna was fresh and generous, wrapped in slightly sweet tofu skin. A must-try! We didn’t order mains this time, but we saw nearby tables enjoying huge bowls of donburi and ramen 🍜—looked amazing and definitely on our list for next time! No wonder this place is popular among locals—every order comes with a free miso soup 🍲, served piping hot! The chefs love experimenting, so the menu is always evolving with new specials posted on the wall or near the entrance 📌. From sushi and sashimi to rice bowls and noodles—there’s always something new to try! #AZ #Arizona #TucsonFood #JapaneseCuisine #FreshSushi #FoodieRecommendation
