Tucson Food Review #22 – A Taste of France 🧑🍳✨

Looking for a romantic spot for a special occasion or anniversary? This charming French restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere, soft background music, and attentive service — perfect for a classy night out. 🕯️🎶 Although the exterior is modest, the inside feels cozy and elegant. We tried a range of dishes, and here’s what stood out: 🥣 Appetizers: Daily Soup – A rich duck broth 🦆 with tender meat soaked in flavor. Surprisingly generous! Brie En Croute – Baked brie wrapped in pastry with pear chutney 🍐🧀. Sweet and creamy (great if you like cheese!). Moules Provencales – Mussels in a creamy white wine sauce 🥘. Salad – Fresh greens with sweet red fruit (maybe pomegranate?). 🍽️ Main Courses: Beef Wellington 🥩 – Cooked to perfection (we had medium-well). Tender, flavorful, and wrapped in puff pastry. Scallops – Plump, delicate, and beautifully seared — but only 3 pieces! Served with soft potato slices cooked almost like thick chips 🥔. Creamy Fries 🍟 – A unique side: fries filled with creamy sauce inside. Rich and indulgent! 🍮 Desserts: Crème Brûlée – Classic caramelized top with smooth custard underneath. Very sweet — perfect for those with a sweet tooth! Soufflé – Lighter and less sweet than the crème brûlée. Control the sweetness by adding less cream. Crepes Suzette 🍊 – Citrusy, tangy, and refreshing! Ideal if you prefer something less sweet. 💵 Pricey but worth it for a special night — around $80+ per person. 📍 Be sure to make a reservation online — this place is popular for dates and celebrations! #FrenchRestaurant #TucsonFineDining #DateNight #SpecialOccasion #FrenchCuisine #TucsonEats #FoodieReview #AZFoodies 🥂🍴
