š Turin Michelin Dining Experience | Dolce stil novo š
Finally, I experienced a Michelin restaurant! Dolce stil novo is a restaurant that combines traditional Italian cuisine with innovation. We went there for lunch on the 26th last month. Initially, we wanted to order their tasting menu, which doesn't list specific dishes but offers a choice of 5 or 7 courses based on the fresh ingredients of the day (like a blind box). However, since it was a holiday, there was only one tasting menu with a set list of dishes, including four or five glasses of wine. Since we were driving, we couldn't have alcohol, so we chose to order Ć la carte. For Ć la carte dining, there's a rule to order at least three dishes per person. We, two people, ordered: two appetizers, two main courses, two second courses, and two desserts. In addition to our choices, we were first served an amuse-bouche with a glass of wine, a pre-dessert, and finally, a small plate of petit fours after finishing the meal. š The service was heartwarming. The chef personally greeted us at the door, introduced the dishes, and bid us farewell. š° Cost: 323 euros for two people. Finally, let me share an awkward moment: during the meal, a staff member asked if we would like to taste some vermouth. Thinking it was complimentary, I said, "Just a little, please, we're driving." When we paid the bill, we found out that tiny bit of wine cost 12 euros... From then on, I learned that nothing in a Michelin restaurant is truly free; it subtly finds its way onto the bill š #TurinItaly #Italy #Turin #MichelinRestaurant #Michelin #MichelinRestaurantHopping #TurinMichelin #ItalianMichelin #VenariaReale #TurinFood
