Turkish Food in Honolulu – A Flavorful Adventure! 🇹🇷🍽️

Today, my Yobo and I headed to downtown Honolulu for an authentic Turkish food experience! Like most spots in Honolulu (or any big city), the first challenge was parking 🚗💨. We parked at a nearby shopping center with free parking, found our way, and it was just a 7-minute walk 🚶‍♀️📍. Istanbul Hawai’i is located at: *1108 Auahi St., STE 152 Honolulu, HI 96814* 📞 *808-772-4440* They offer both indoor and covered outdoor seating – cozy and inviting! 🏙️🌿 We were seated quickly and began browsing the menu… but honestly, we had no idea what we were looking at! 😅 Our server, Jason, started making suggestions, but we were still a bit lost – both with the menu and what to order. Then, a kind mother and daughter sitting next to us stepped in with recommendations 🤗💖. They suggested: Meze as an appetizer 🧆 Wagyu for the main course 🥩 Both were safe and delicious choices for first-timers like us! Everything is made fresh to order, so while the restaurant wasn’t full (less than a quarter inside, half outside), it still took a bit of time – but it was worth the wait! ⏳👨‍🍳 Both dishes were absolutely fantastic! I was hesitant about the Meze since it’s mostly hummus – and neither of us usually like hummus – but after this dish, we’ve completely changed our minds! The Wagyu was cooked perfectly, but we were already full from finishing all the Meze 😋🍽️. Overall, a wonderful experience – we’ll definitely be back! Here’s the breakdown: Meze: $38.00 – enough for two Wagyu Ribeye: $28.00 – two skewers, about six good-sized pieces with saffron rice Black Iced Tea: $6.00 Coke: $5.00 2 Baklava (small): $6.00 each – you can get it with pistachio ice cream, but we took ours to go. (A mistake – it’s worth eating there! 🍯🍨) Total: $117.00 – I know it’s a lot, but I’ve paid more in downtown Honolulu! 💸🍹 #IstanbulHawaii #TurkishFood #HonoluluEats #WagyuRibeye #MezePlatter #BaklavaLove
