Ueno, a Place I Didn't Plan to Visit, Surprised Me So Much!
🎨✨Tokyo | Ueno, a Place I Didn't Plan to Visit, Surprised Me So Much! I arrived in Tokyo early this morning, but it kept raining. 🎨✨ I decided to find an indoor place to explore, so I headed to Ueno Station, home to the Tokyo National Museum. I had no idea this place would be so amazing! I actually skipped it in my travel plans... Now, let's join me for a simple Ueno city walk! 🌇 1️⃣ Ameyoko Shopping Street: Exit from the park ticket gate at Ueno Station and walk south along the road by the railway. You'll find this bustling street lined with shops, full of the "smoke and fire" atmosphere that feels so Japanese! 🛍️ 2️⃣ Shinobazu Pond: Next to the shopping street, there's a large pond with beautiful lotus flowers. In the middle of the pond is an exquisite temple that makes for great photos! 🌺 3️⃣ Ueno Onshi Park: After visiting the pond, head north back to Ueno Onshi Park, right next to Ueno Station. This is a quintessential Tokyo park—elegant and well-crafted, perfect for a leisurely stroll. 🌳🚶 4️⃣ Tokyo National Museum: The admission fee is 1000 yen. It has several buildings, including the Toyokan (East Asian Gallery), which houses many precious Chinese artifacts that are definitely worth seeing. 🎨✨ The Honkan (Main Hall) and Heiseikan (Special Exhibition Hall) feature Japanese artifacts, and there's a beautiful courtyard behind the Main Hall. The Hōryū-ji Hōmotsukan (Hōryū-ji Treasure House) has a very atmospheric architectural design, and there's also the Hyokeikan, a gorgeous European-style building. 🏛️ #Japan 🌸 #Tokyo 🌇 #TokyoTravel 🎨✨
