Book early – limited daily tickets! 🚗 Getting There From Kampala: 12-hour drive (scenic but tiring) OR fly (avoid delays – gorilla permits are non-refundable!). 📍 Pro tip: Buy permits for the gate nearest your lodge (Bwindi has multiple entrances). 🦍 The Big Day 7:00 AM: Depart lodge with packed lunch (no shops in the forest!). Park Briefing: Traditional welcome + safety rules. Trekking: Assigned to a gorilla family... but our group’s silverback had just died 😱.
