UK | You’ve Got to Visit Oxford at Least Once!

I’m sure many of you feel the same—when you come to the UK, you simply must visit the world-famous Oxford and Cambridge ✨. I went to Oxford last Saturday, and it truly lived up to its beautiful image. Whether you study here or not, just strolling through the town and the university feels like a treat. 🚆 Getting from London to Oxford is easy: Take the train from Paddington Station 🚉. Trains run hourly, and the journey takes less than an hour. 🏛️ Oxford is built around the university—much like Leuven and other European university towns—perfect for slow exploration. Must-visit spots include the iconic Bodleian Library and the opposite clock tower 🕰️. The tower is tiny (fits only about 10 people!), so try visiting during meal times to avoid crowds. While waiting, you can explore the attached church—it’s quaint and full of charm. ⚡ For Harry Potter filming locations, remember to book in advance! We didn’t, and couldn’t get in… big regret 😢. 🗺️ Besides the famous spots, I highly recommend just wandering around with a map. Many colleges look but are open to visitors—we randomly entered Keble College, and it was so peaceful and beautiful. 📚 Also, don’t miss: Blackwell’s Bookshop: Full of quirky little treasures. Oxford Library Gift Shop: Where I bought a fun tote bag and fridge magnets 🛍️. Endorphins Dessert Café: A Chinese-run shaved ice shop 🍧—perfect sweetness, just like back home! Overall, Oxford is perfect for a day trip—don’t miss it, girls! 💕 #UK #Oxford #OxfordUniversity #LifeAbroad #TravelUK 📸
