🐳 University Museum of Bergen, Enormous Whale Skeleton

🏛️ After visiting a certain number of museums, one starts to pay attention to the interactive experience design and the novelty of the exhibits. 👍 UiB's museum has both covered. As soon as you walk into the exhibition hall with the whale skeleton, even with a 0.5 wide-angle lens, you can't capture its enormity. The hall constantly plays white noise from the ocean floor, creating a very immersive experience. 🗣️ I chatted with the docent for a while, and he said that these huge skeletons have been hanging from the ceiling since the museum was established. The shark that looks like a model is a real shark; they just painted it. Norwegian law now only allows the hunting of a smaller type of whale, so these whale skeletons might only be seen here. 🎓 I've always thought that being a museum docent is a cool job. I asked him what he studied to work here, and he said he studied law, but after concentrated training, he could work part-time here. 💡 As for interactive experience design, for example, on a small screen, you can choose what you are willing to do to protect the ocean, and it teaches you why these measures can protect the ocean. Then, small fish will appear on the big screen swimming around saying "…Thank you." The rocks in the rock hall are also arranged in human shapes, and the explanations are in a personified form. There are many similar interactive experiences, and with these, visiting the museum won't be mentally tiring. #Bergen #NorwegianLife #Norway #Museum
