Upper East Side Ramen - KUU ๐
๐1275 1st Ave, New York While casually grabbing some ramen in the Upper East Side, I also discovered a new favorite drinkโMoshi Oolong Lychee Soda (p6). It has a rich aroma of roasted oolong tea and just the right amount of sweetness. ๐ ๐ข This ramen place is the kind of spot you can visit when youโre on the island and not sure what to eat. It has a 4.5๐ rating on Google. Itโs a small shop, and since there are several large hospitals nearby, it gets a lot of medical staff lining up during lunchtime. ๐๏ธI ordered the Kuu Chili Ramen, which comes with a slice of char siu and some stir-fried minced meat. The flavor is quite Chinese-style. To me, it felt a bit salty, but those who prefer stronger flavors would definitely love it. NPY ordered the Spicy Tonkatsu Miso Ramen, which I thought tasted much better than mine. It had a fresher flavor and was much lighter. His bowl came with dried shredded pork. ๐ The dumplings were average; there were more cucumbers than meat inside. But the sauce had a surprising taste of Want Want shrimp crackers. ? The takoyaki (octopus balls) were very soft. Since I prefer them a bit chewier, I thought they were just okay, but there was a good amount of octopus inside. If you like your takoyaki soft, youโd really enjoy these. ๐ Overall, it was decent. With a tip, the average cost per person was around $30, which is a pretty good deal in Manhattan. ๐ธ #NewYorkExploration #Food #NewYork ๐
