USA | Joshua Tree Transmission Art Installation Near LA
There are so many stunning spots around Los Angeles perfect for a weekend getaway to relax and unwind. This time, I visited the much-hyped "Transmission" art installation in Joshua Tree during a 4-day, 3-night trip. You can find notes on beautiful nearby Airbnbs and Joshua Tree National Park in my collection! πΏ π Introduction: "Transmission" is the latest large-scale installation by renowned artist Daniel Popper. This massive goddess emerges from the desert mountains, using her hands to transmit energy and light. Standing nearly 30 feet tall, the sculpture is made of steel and reinforced concrete, with a dichroic glass mirror that changes color based on the viewer's angle. Each palm features a suspended stainless-steel crescent moon, and a crescent moon is also carved on her forehead. π No matter the angle, the photos are incredibly breathtaking. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Joshua Tree! πΏβ¨ π Location Details: - 2-hour drive from Los Angeles. - 20 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park. "Transmission" is located at Mojave Moon Desert Ranch oasis, above Sunfair Dry Lake, outside Joshua Tree National Park in California. Since it's on private property, it's meant to be viewed from a distance. We were about to leave disappointed when we met someone driving through the gate who kindly let us take a few close-up photos. So excited! π π‘ Tip: Visit in the evening after sunset for even more stunning and dramatic photos! π π Follow me for more adventures around the world! π€ #USATravel #RoadTrip #CaliforniaAdventure #JoshuaTree #DesertVibes #ArtInstallation #NationalPark #TravelDiaries #DesertTravel
