Owned by Utrecht University’s Biology Department, this botanical garden serves both academic research and the public! Entry costs €8.50, but it’s free for UU students and Museumkaart holders. Conveniently located on campus with free weekend parking right at the entrance. 🚗💨 Home to thousands of plants—from tiny mosses to towering cedars—each labeled with care. The center features a charming mini-island with a hill, while the outer greenhouse houses tropical plants sorted by temperature zones. Finally saw pitcher plants (Nepenthes) in person—no longer just a legend! 🌱🔥 The greenhouse also includes: 🐔 A "Crazy Bird" chicken coop—these adorable birds love digging cozy little holes to nest in! 🦋 A butterfly paradise—vibrant species flutter around, perching on plants or even circling visitors!
