Vancouver’s Only Walk-In Fresh Pasta Spot🇮🇹🍝
🏘️ Magari by Oca 💭 Extremely low-key place—we walked by it so many times without even noticing it existed 😅. No reservations, only walk-ins!! Since we saw online that it’s super popular 🔥, we arrived at 5 PM (opening time) at 3:30 PM… but there was already a line forming outside!! By 4:30 PM, the queue stretched into the next store 😱. As soon as we walked in, we saw the chef 🧑🍳 hand-pulling noodles right in front of us—completely open kitchen, super cool vibe, exactly my kind of aesthetic [clapR]!! 🍝 Pasta Tasting Menu Couldnt decide what to order, so we went for the tasting menu—first time trying an Italian pasta tasting [winkR]!! Super fun experience. Five-course feast: 1️⃣ Prosciutto & Focaccia – The bread was so soft and fluffy, I could eat it all day 😍💕 2️⃣ Asparagus Salad🥗 – Light, fresh, and perfect to balance the richness later. 3️⃣ Three Pasta Dishes – One was not even on the menu!!! 🤫 My absolute favorite: Tortelli Ai Formaggi (cheesy spinach ravioli)!! The filling was creamy-melty perfection, and the pasta was so delicate—no visible seams in the middle, like edible art 🎨✨. The other two were decent, but nothing mind-blowing (maybe pasta just is what it is lol). 4️⃣ Dessert🍮 – Almond Semifreddo – Ice cream texture with almond crumbs, delicious but a bit too sweet for my taste 😋🍯. Before entering, an elderly foreign lady kept raving about the place, saying it’s her third visit and praising their "artisanal craftsmanship" 🙄. But honestly, I think it’s best not to expect too much from pasta lol [shrugR]. Final Verdict: A fun, unique experience with some standout dishes 🥹✨. 📍 Magari by Oca Vancouver, BC #food #vancouverlife #vancouverfoodie #pastaheaven #foodspotting #hiddengem #tastingmenu #pastalove #foodadventures #dininginvan #instafood #foodievan #canadianfood #restaurantreview
