đŁ Vancouver's Best Value Sushi Spot | Finally Tried Toshi Sushi!
Last Saturday was the final night of Vancouver's Fireworks Competition. Anticipating traffic, we left Richmond early and finally visited this long-bookmarked sushi spot! Pro Tip: They open at 4:30pm on Saturdays and always draw a crowdâwe arrived 1 hour early, parked across the street, and joined the line as soon as others started forming (smart move!). The cozy interior has both counter seats and regular tables. Upon entry, servers kindly explain the day's specials using an iPad with photos. đŁ Nigiri Heaven! As a nigiri fanatic, I had to try their famed fresh fish at reasonable prices. We ordered: ⢠Scallop | Bluefin Tuna (Chutoro & Otoro) ⢠Sweet Shrimp Squid Hamachi (Yellowtail) ⢠Daily Specials: Barracuda & Kinki Fish Top Picks: The yellowtail, scallop, and kinki fish were standoutsâexceptionally fresh! The bluefin tuna looked less vibrant than online photos but still decent. đ¤ Other Orders: ⢠Grilled Eggplant (sweet, nostalgic sesame flavor) ⢠Shrimp Tempura & Spider Roll (good but standard) ⢠Dessert Highlight: Coffee Ice Cream âđŚ ⢠Perfect balance of bitter & sweetâabsolute perfection! Final Bill: ~$60/person for great quality and variety. đ Toshi Sushi 181 E 16th Ave, Vancouver #VancouverEats #SushiLovers #HiddenGems #FoodieFinds #NoReservationsNeeded
