Vancouver | Hunan Cuisine Review: Nong Geng JI·Hunan Cuisine

Formerly a fish grill spot, this Richmond restaurant has rebranded as a Hunan-style eatery - we finally gave it a try! While not mind-blowing, it offers some decent dishes worth exploring if you're craving something new. 📍 4200 No.3 Rd #120, Richmond 🥢 What We Ordered 👍 Thunder Pepper & Century Egg Flavorful, aromatic, with great texture - a must-try! 👎 Hunan Stinky Tofu Bland and underwhelming - skip it. ➖ Organic Cauliflower Crunchy but forgettable. 🔥 Sizzling Pork Served in a clay pot - starts mediocre but gets better as it simmers! ⚠️ Portion Alert: Dishes are smaller than expected - we (2 people) finished everything easily. 🌟 Highlights 💯 Service: Staff were exceptionally attentive Explained membership discounts in detail Constantly refilled tea & checked on us 🏮 Atmosphere: Traditional Chinese decor with authentic touches Real pickling jars & farm-style veggies at entrance (not just decor!) Great for photos & group gatherings 💰 Damage Report ~$40 CAD per person Pricey for portion sizes Parking: Free but limited (busy during peak hours) 🚆 Location Perks Walkable from Aberdeen Centre Near SkyTrain & bus stops Convenient for drivers & transit users Final Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) "Worth a visit for the experience, but temper expectations on portion sizes." #HunanFood #RichmondEats
