Vancouver | Sichuan Cuisine Worth a One-Hour Wait

A super popular Sichuan restaurant that moved from Toronto to Vancouver—everyone says it often has lines over an hour long! Since I can't handle much spiciness, I debated for ages before deciding to give it a try. 📍 Cheng Du Street Food (Fly Restaurant) Located where Daowei used to be, the space isn't huge. We still had to queue at 8 PM+! As soon as we sat down, they served 瓜子 (sunflower seeds) and 哈密瓜 (honeydew melon). Except for the Water-Boiled Beef (which can't adjust spiciness), we ordered all other dishes as "mild spicy." 🐂 Water-Boiled Beef One of the must-orders! The beef is tender and super rice-friendly. This felt like medium-spicy to me 🌶️ 🥩 Husband and Wife Lung Slice Generous portion! Covered in crushed peanuts, packed with beef and tripe, rich in red oil flavor. 🥣 Mapo Tofu & Pig Blood Tofu, pig blood, and minced beef in a sticky sauce—this was less spicy than the others. 🍅 Iced Plum Juice Tomatoes Sweet and sour dessert, perfect for summer! We couldn't finish and took leftovers away. If you love Sichuan food and spice, go for it! 🔥 #RestaurantReview #FoodDiary #FoodShare #FoodExploration #Foodie #VancouverLife
