Vancouver, Canada | A Little Gem in Gastown with a 4.9 Google Rating and Incredible Value!
This small spot in Gastown always has a line during dinner time. We went around 9 pm, close to closing, so there wasn't much of a wait. 🥩 Mixed Grill The portion size is HUGE, with a bit of everything: veggie salad 🥗, cheese 🧀, grilled lamb, pork, chicken, fries 🍟, and pita bread... We were so full, we even packed some leftovers to take home! The flavor was great, and the meat portions were generous and fresh. But to be honest, I liked the fries and pita more than the meat! The fries were super crispy—not greasy at all despite being fried. The pita soaked up all the delicious oil from the fries and meat, making it so flavorful and a bit sinful, haha. 🍮 Profiterole This was a box of basic supermarket cream puffs with some whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Pretty average overall. 🍮 Crème Caramel The restaurant gave this to us for free, probably because it was close to closing time, haha. It was a simple pudding with caramel sauce—nothing special. Overall, the dishes here are pretty good, and it's a nice spot to visit every once in a while. However, after one meal, you might not crave it again for a bit 😂. The desserts are not particularly worth it though, so if you go earlier, I recommend trying out some gelato or waffle shops 🧇 along the street instead—their flavors might be better than the desserts here.
