π My friends and I checked out the popular udon noodle shop near PNE in Vancouver, Motonobu Udon. The shop isn't very noticeable, located on the first floor of an apartment building with simple and clean decoration. It has an open kitchen where you can see the chefs making the noodles. We ordered the maze metaiko udon, which is a creamy cod roe udon stir-fry, as well as the tempura udon soup, and pressed sushi. The mentaiko mixed udon has a rich texture, isn't too greasy, and has a unique flavor that I quite enjoyed. The tempura udon comes in a large bowl with a generous serving. The prawn and squid tempuras have a good texture, and the handmade udon noodles are chewy. The main thing is that the prices are quite affordable.
