Vancouver Day Hike Trip Route 1๏ธโƒฃ

๐Ÿ“ Location: Kentucky Lake Access โฑ๏ธ Duration: ~6h round-trip drive, ~2h hike ๐Ÿšถ Difficulty: ๐ŸŒŸ (Easy) ๐Ÿž๏ธ Scenery: ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ (Stunning!) ๐ŸŒ„ Morning (10 AM): Left Vancouver and made our first stop at Kekuli Cafรฉ Coffee in Merrittโ€”an Indigenous-themed cafรฉ โ˜•. It was packed, but the food was just okay. Worth a try for the experience though! Their Taco Bowl is basically everything on the menu thrown into one dish ๐ŸŒฎ. The Bannock (their signature item) tastes like a doughnut without the hole ๐Ÿฉ [awkward laugh]. ๐Ÿš— From Merritt to Kentucky Lake (~30 min drive): The pin drops between Alleyne Lake and Kentucky Lake, so we stopped to check out Alleyne firstโ€”smaller and with limited views. Kentucky Lake is the real star here! ๐ŸŒฟ Hike Details: Theoretically 1h loop, but we took 2h because the views were too gorgeous to rush! Zero elevation gainโ€”completely flat and beginner-friendly. Multiple scenic spots to stop, dip our feet in the water, and take photos ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ’ฆ. ๐ŸŒ… Evening (~5:30 PM): Drove to Hope (1.5h) for dinner ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ, then another 2h back to Vancouver. ๐Ÿ“ Final Notes: With summer here, Iโ€™ll be sharing more day-hike routes around Vancouver! Stay tuned ๐Ÿ˜†. Drop your favorite hiking spots belowโ€”Iโ€™d love recommendations! #VancouverLife #HealingHikes #NatureWalks #WorkingHoliday #ExperienceDrivenLife
