Vancouver Day Hike Trip Route 1๏ธโฃ
๐ Location: Kentucky Lake Access โฑ๏ธ Duration: ~6h round-trip drive, ~2h hike ๐ถ Difficulty: ๐ (Easy) ๐๏ธ Scenery: ๐๐๐๐๐ (Stunning!) ๐ Morning (10 AM): Left Vancouver and made our first stop at Kekuli Cafรฉ Coffee in Merrittโan Indigenous-themed cafรฉ โ. It was packed, but the food was just okay. Worth a try for the experience though! Their Taco Bowl is basically everything on the menu thrown into one dish ๐ฎ. The Bannock (their signature item) tastes like a doughnut without the hole ๐ฉ [awkward laugh]. ๐ From Merritt to Kentucky Lake (~30 min drive): The pin drops between Alleyne Lake and Kentucky Lake, so we stopped to check out Alleyne firstโsmaller and with limited views. Kentucky Lake is the real star here! ๐ฟ Hike Details: Theoretically 1h loop, but we took 2h because the views were too gorgeous to rush! Zero elevation gainโcompletely flat and beginner-friendly. Multiple scenic spots to stop, dip our feet in the water, and take photos ๐ธ๐ฆ. ๐ Evening (~5:30 PM): Drove to Hope (1.5h) for dinner ๐ฝ๏ธ, then another 2h back to Vancouver. ๐ Final Notes: With summer here, Iโll be sharing more day-hike routes around Vancouver! Stay tuned ๐. Drop your favorite hiking spots belowโIโd love recommendations! #VancouverLife #HealingHikes #NatureWalks #WorkingHoliday #ExperienceDrivenLife
