Vancouver Hike 📍 Saint Mark's Summit

We went on August 19th. It was cloudy with a bit of blue sky ☁️. We drove to the Cypress Mountain ski resort parking lot. Even though it was a Monday, there were quite a few people. Some were enjoying the Eagle Coaster, others were trying axe-throwing, and there were people like us who were hiking. We hiked a total of 11.25 km, taking 3 hours and 58 minutes (including a 30-minute break at the summit), with an elevation gain of 589 m. The trail was mostly roots and rocks, which was tough on the feet, so make sure to wear hiking boots to protect them. There were a few sections where the steps were quite high, which was a challenge for someone with short legs like mine. Climbing up was a bit tough; on the way down, I used trekking poles to reduce the pressure on my knees. After all, I’ve been hiking a lot recently, and my knees sometimes ache, so I’ve started taking supplements 🥲. There are two spots at the summit where you can sit and enjoy the view. One is on a large rock near the summit marker at 1370m, where many people stop to rest. It’s quite spacious. The other spot is a bit further ahead; turn left onto a small trail. This area is smaller but offers a more expansive view. It's located on the large rock protruding on the right side. We rested at the second spot, took photos, and had lunch. We saw two adorable chipmunks and four cute Canada Jays flying around, looking for food. It was a cloudy day, so the sky wasn’t very blue, and the sea looked a bit green. Next time, we’ll go on a clear day to enjoy the stunning view of the sea and sky blending together. #LifeInCanada #LifeInVancouver #Hiking #HikingTrailRecommendation #HikingAroundTheWorld #HikingWithAView #HikingPhotography #MyHikingDiary #OneDayHike #RecordingMyLife ### Address: Saint Mark's Summit ###
