Vancouver Hiking | Stawamus Chief 🏞️
My first Vancouver hike went to the iconic Stawamus Chief - the world's second-largest granite monolith! Just 1 hour drive from Vancouver (with no traffic~). This massive rock features three peaks - I conquered First Peak this time, rewarding me with breathtaking views of Howe Sound and distant Mt. Garibaldi! 🏔️ 📍 Trail Details: 🅿️ Stawamus Chief Trail, Squamish, BC 📏 First Peak Route: 3.7KM round trip ⬆️ Elevation Gain: 535M 💪 Difficulty: Challenging! Features: • Steep staircases most of the way • Final ascent requires chains & ladders (official warning: "not a walk"!) • But the panoramic payoff is 100% worth it! P.S. Fellow Vancouver hikers - let's adventure together! I'm down for all difficulty levels~ 🥾💨 #HikeTheWorld #NatureTrails #VancouverBC #VancouverHiking #VancouverOutdoors #VancouverDayTrips #StawamusChief #HikingDiary #ExploreSquamish #BeautifulBC
