Vegas Family Trip|Hot Pot Solves Everything 🍲✨
✈️ Flight Home: We booked an evening flight back to San Jose — plenty of time for one last show and a great meal 🎭🍜. Now heading to the airport… fingers crossed for no delays! ✨ 🍽️ Food Highlight: After lots of research, we chose Xiao Long Kan Hot Pot for our final feast — it hasn’t even opened in the Bay Area yet! Though they have a happy hour menu, it’s pretty limited. We decided à la carte was the better deal. 🥩 What we ordered: Tender beef slices (the winner! 🥇) Beef shoulder (not my favorite — I generally don’t love rolled meat) Assorted veggies and hot pot classics 🌶️ Broth Review: The spicy beef oil broth is LEGENDARY — rich and flavorful but not overly salty. Medium spice packs a punch but doesn’t linger uncomfortably. We got the triple-flavor pot: Spicy for the adults Tomato for the kiddo 🍅 (mild and kid-approved!) They even help cut food for children — so thoughtful! ✂️ 👎 The downsides: Snack bar was basic (cherry tomatoes, edamame, peanuts only) Limited meat choices — maybe because of happy hour? No more special items like wide-cut kidney slices 💬 But overall: The broth alone beats 90% of Bay Area hot pot spots — rich, aromatic, and not heavy. 🍜 Yesterday’s Noodle Run: We hit up Shang Artisan Noodle — the BEST hand-shaved noodles in Vegas! 📍 4983 W Flamingo Rd A, Las Vegas, NV 89103 Must-orders: Beef Noodle Soup 🍜 Beef Pancake 🥮 Skip the tomato egg over rice — I’ve yet to find a restaurant that does it well 😅 Tip: Portions are huge — consider sharing! 🎪 Shows We Saw: 🎭 Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil Always trust Cirque du Soleil — they’re the real deal! This show was stylish, emotional, and even had an anti-war theme. A beautiful tribute to MJ’s legacy ❤️ 🔵 Blue Man Group A classic! I first heard about it 20 years ago on a show hosted by Dee Hsu — she said it was mind-blowing. It’s still so avant-garde! ⚠️ Note: Some audience interaction might make conservative viewers uncomfortable — maybe avoid front rows if that’s you. I loved it though! 💫 Final Thoughts: Vegas isn’t just glitz and games — it’s a cultural blend with depth and forward-thinking vibes. Already dreaming of my next trip! #VegasEats #VegasTravel #VegasTips #VegasHotPot #VegasShows #CirqueDuSoleil #BlueManGroup #FamilyTravel #FoodieReview
