Venice | Trattoria Bar Pontini π΄
During a three-day trip to Venice, we visited this restaurant away from the tourist spots four times - once for lunch, once for dinner, and twice just for the tiramisu. ππ Remember to make a reservation in advance, as this is a local favorite and a must-visit for many tourists. π Without exaggeration, this is the best tiramisu in Venice, if not in all of Italy. The simple presentation belies the rich flavors within. The three key elements of a great tiramisu: mascarpone cheese, Italian espresso, and a strong liquor. Only high-quality ingredients can create a truly delicious tiramisu. π Many people order the squid ink pasta, a Venetian specialty that's delicious but quite filling. We opted for a 30-euro set menu: fried mixed seafood, fish lasagna, and a vegetable salad. Perfect for two people. The seafood was very fresh, lightly battered with a crispy exterior and a tender, springy interior. The fish lasagna was a highlight, usually associated with red sauce beef pasta, but this white sauce version with fish and shrimp better reflects the characteristics of the water city of Venice. The vegetable salad brought a refreshing coolness to the hot summer day. ππ A little surprise for wine lovers: you can order a 1/4 liter of wine, with both white and red options available. (1/4L is just two glasses, and it's only 3.5 euros!) Remember to use your bread to clean the sauce from the plate. This is the greatest compliment you can give to an Italian chef. π #ItalianCuisine #RestaurantRecommendations #AtmosphereRestaurants #HiddenGemRestaurants #Venice #Tiramisu #HiddenGemRestaurants
