Venice โข St. Mark's Basilica ๐ฐโจ
A Banquet of Golden Mosaics ๐ ๐Before coming to Venice, I didn't do much research on churches, and I bought a ticket on-site in the afternoon to enter. As soon as I walked in, I was overwhelmed by the overwhelming golden mosaic murals. Although the light in the evening wasn't strong, the splendor inside not only didn't have a sense of decay but also added an epic feeling of the setting sun melting gold. ๐The church is visited in a counterclockwise route, with two additional fee areas. The first part is the Golden Altar Screen deep in the hall, which is said to be inlaid with more than 2000 precious stones, sapphires, rubies, amethysts, pearls, etc., colorfully inlaid on gold, which looks quite gorgeous on site, with an unparalleled luxurious aura. ๐The second part is the second-floor exhibition and terrace. There are some medium and small-sized mosaic portraits on the second floor, which are quite vivid. There are also four bronze statues of galloping horses with vigorous postures, and you can also get a close look at some large mosaic murals. The terrace has a nice view, overlooking St. Mark's Square and the sea. Leaning on the railing to take photos and capture the scenery is very Venetian. #Italy #Venice #StMarksSquare #StMarksBasilica #Mosaics
