Venice is So Sunny ๐ญ A Half-Day Trip is More Than Enough!
๐ฎ๐น Back again after a year!! ๐ฌ Took a direct China Eastern flight to Venice, landed punctually at 6:30 AM local time. Not many people at customs, took about 40 minutes to get out of the airport. ๐จ Took advice and booked a hotel near Venice Mestre Station. ๐ Took an Uber to the hotel โ 15 minutes, โฌ50. Dropped off the luggage and immediately rushed to the main island ๐ Took the train directly to Santa Lucia Station, then followed 's route and walked for over three hours, all the way from the train station to St. Mark's Square. ๐ซ Gotta say, the Italian sun is brutalโฆ My face, neck, and arms got completely sunburned, and I almost got heatstroke ๐ By the time I reached St. Mark's Square, I couldn't walk anymore. Hopped directly onto the Blue Line water bus at the nearby Ferry Stop and leisurely rode back to Santa Lucia Station โ finally some relief! โผ๏ธ Important note โ ๏ธ Donโt trust Google Maps if it tells you to go back to Rialto to take Water Bus Line 1 or 2 back to Santa Lucia Station. You can take it directly from St. Mark's Square (specifically called San Marco Vallaresso ACTV Fermata/Stop) โ the line is the Blue Line (full route map 8: Railway Station to Airport, where Railway Station means Santa Lucia). ๐ฑ Back at the hotel, I ordered Chinese food + bubble tea, ate while watching variety shows, happily getting ready to adjust to the time zone~ โจ Gotta give a shoutout to the location of Best Western Plus Hotel Bologna โ plenty of Chinese restaurants and bubble tea spots nearby, really perfect for adjusting on the first day after landing. ๐ Veniceโฆ I came here eight years ago, and revisiting today, the feeling is still the same: youโd regret not coming, but you might also regret coming. #Venice #Italy #VeniceTravel ๐ฎ๐นโจ
