📍 Vienna 3-Day Itinerary (Part 2) — Attractions Guide
Many say two days in Vienna is enough, but that’s not really true. While you can rush through the main sights, truly experiencing the city takes more time. Sadly, our schedule was tight, so we couldn’t explore everything in depth. Here’s my review and suggestions for some key attractions: 1️⃣ Belvedere Palace 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely stunning! We visited on a windy, chilly day, but it was still beautiful under clear skies — I can only imagine how magical it must be in summer with flowers and greenery in full bloom. 🌷 Entry requires a ticket. Students under 26 get a discount — €16.5. 🌷 Highly recommend the €5 audio guide (available in Chinese) to understand the artists’ backgrounds and intentions. 🌷 The park in front is perfect for photos. Everyone takes pictures from across the pond. There was even a sweet moment: a girl wanted to wear a dress for photos in the cold, and her boyfriend took off his coat to join her — everyone clapped! 👏 🌷 Inside, don’t miss the beautifully painted Grand Hall on the second floor. Pay attention to photography rules. 🌷 The back garden has exquisite stone sculptures. It looked a bit gray in winter — can’t wait to see it in summer! 2️⃣ St. Stephen’s Cathedral 🌟🌟🌟🌟 One of Vienna’s iconic landmarks — grand and majestic. Located in a bustling area with great transport links. You can enter and explore inside. 3️⃣ Albertina Museum 🌟🌟🌟🌟 You can take romantic nighttime photos on the sculpture terrace (a Before Sunrise vibe — see P1!). We didn’t have time to go inside, but it houses one of the world’s largest print collections and works by Picasso. 4️⃣ Schönbrunn Palace 🌟🌟🌟 We only saw the exterior on our last morning. The square was filled with market stalls. It’s huge, and I’ve heard the interior is worth visiting. 5️⃣ Golden Hall (Musikverein) 🌟🌟 Only saw it from outside — the golden interior requires a booked ticket. A friend said the State Opera offers better performances. 6️⃣ St. Charles Church 🌟🌟 A beautiful church, but not a must-see if short on time. 7️⃣ Plague Column 🌟 No need to go out of your way — you’ll likely pass it while shopping near St. Stephen’s Cathedral. We missed Hofburg, the Before Sunrise record store, the State Opera, and more due to lack of time — definitely coming back! Belvedere Palace was the highlight for me. Everyone’s taste differs, so use this as a reference and plan your time wisely. Enjoy Vienna! 💫 #Vienna #StudyAbroadTravel #ArtAndArchitecture #ViennaTravel #ViennaGuide #BelvederePalace #BeforeSunrise #Schonbrunn #GoldenHall
