Vienna Food Guide 🇦🇹
Mostly found high-rated spots on Google Maps! 🍽️ Kaiser‘s (Austrian) 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ordered Wiener Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn. Portions were huge! Both came with a tangy sauce. The schnitzel was crispy outside but a bit dry inside. Loved the shredded pancake, though it got heavy after a few bites. Since it was my only try of these dishes in Vienna, no comparisons—but overall pretty good! 🍕 Mezzaluna (Italian) 🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐️ Wanted to try another place, but it was closed at noon 😅 Ended up here—surprisingly nice and quiet. The chef seemed Italian. Tuna pizza and creamy pasta were delicious! But the soda was too sour 😖 (-½ star). 🌶️ Som Kitchen (Thai) 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ate here around 9 PM on our first night—right at the train station. Ordered Pad Kra Pao and beef noodle soup. Tasty and appetizing, though a bit salty toward the end. Then something weird happened: an uncle suddenly came over, mumbled something, and started eating our leftovers 😳… we left ASAP! 🍜 Ramen Red Pepper (Chinese) 🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐️ Went after Prater Amusement Park—Google said closed at 9, but luckily it was open! The owner is Chinese (we spoke in Mandarin). Got vegetarian noodles and beef brisket noodles. We asked for softer noodles (some reviews said they’re too firm). Light and comforting—perfect for Cantonese taste buds 😌. All four above are near Vienna Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). 🥩 Beim Hofmeister (Austrian) 🌟🌟🌟⭐️ Near St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Ordered a salad and beef steak. The beef was well-done (not my preference 😕), but the fried onions on top were sweet and unique! 🍟 McDonald’s Afternoon snack: Got the Five Guys-style shake combo 🥤. Freshly fried McNuggets were awesome with that special tangy sauce! Breakfast: Chicken burger had a weird sauce (like sweet & sour Thai style?)… my friend liked it though. 🥛 Snacks & Yogurt Don’t buy Manner wafers at specialty stores—they’re cheaper in supermarkets! Hazelnut version was too sweet 🥲, needed lots of water after. Olsgarten yogurt was super thick—couldn’t even pour it out 😂. Had to use coffee stirrers from Spar to eat it! #Vienna #Austria #FoodReview #TravelEats #EuropeanFood #Foodie
